FBI and San Diego Police Department Seek Public’s Assistance to Identify Bank of America Robber

The FBI and San Diego Police Department (SDPD) are seeking the public’s assistance to identify the unknown male responsible for robbing the Bank of America, located at 11855 Carmel Mountain Road, San Diego, California, on Saturday, July 17, 2010.

On Saturday, July 17, 2010, at approximately 10:46 a.m., an unknown male robbed the Bank of America, located at 11855 Carmel Mountain Road, San Diego, California. According to witnesses, the robber entered the bank and approached an on-duty teller. The robber handed the teller a demand note for cash, and threatened to harm bank customers if the teller did not comply with the robber’s demands. The teller complied with the robber’s demand and turned over a sum of money to the robber. The robber placed the money inside of a small green ammunition box that was inside of a black bag carried by the robber.

Witnesses describe the robber as follows:

  • Sex: Male
  • Race: White
  • Age: Approximately 60 years old
  • Height: 5’8” to 5’10” tall
  • Build: Medium
  • Weight: 160 to 175 lbs.
  • Clothing: White or tan hat with blue band and wide brim, sunglasses, blue windbreaker jacket, button-up shirt, khaki pants, dark shoes with white trim, and white socks
  • Misc: black duffle or computer bag
