Rewards Offered in Two Separate Bank Robbery Investigations

FBI San Diego March 02, 2009
  • Darrell Foxworth (858) 320-8302

The FBI is seeking the public’s assistance and offering rewards for information leading to arrests and convictions in two separate San Diego County bank robbery investigations.

The “Four Musketeer Bandits” Bank Robbery Series

1.) July 15, 2008 Ketema Federal Credit Union, 792 Greenfield Drive, El Cajon

2.) August 7, 2008 Wells Fargo, 7080 Broadway, Lemon Grove

3.) August 28, 2008 Torrey Pines Bank, 8379 Center Drive, La Mesa

4.) September 19, 2008 Bank of the West, 9832 Campo Road, Spring Valley

A fifth robbery may also be a part of this series:

November 3, 2008 Bank of America, 7404 Jackson Drive, San Diego

The suspects in this series were described as African-American males ranging in height from 5’5” to 6’ tall, and weighing between 130 – 210 pounds. One of the suspects has a stocky build; the others have slim to medium builds. All the suspects are believed to be in their 20s. During the robberies they wore black ski masks, hooded sweatshirts, and gloves. They were armed with a black semi-automatic handgun, a silver revolver or semi-automatic handgun, and a shotgun. (If a part of the series, there was no shotgun used in the November 3rd, 2008, robbery).

During the robberies the suspects rushed the banks from the outside. At least two of the suspects jumped over the counter to obtain the money from the tellers’ drawers. The third suspect ensured that patrons in the bank got down on the floor. The fourth suspect waited in the getaway vehicle. (A dump car was recovered from the July 15th and November 3rd robberies.)

A combined reward of up to $17,500 is being offered for the arrest and conviction of the robbers. If it is determined that the suspects were also responsible for the November 3, 2008, robbery of Bank of America, the reward will be increased to $22,500 upon arrest and conviction.

The “Motivator Bandit” Bank Robbery Series

1.) September 20, 2008 Bank of America, 12724 Poway Road, Poway

2.) December 22, 2008 Bank of America, 17008 Avenida de Acacias, Rancho Santa Fe

3.) January 30, 2009 Bank of America, 13205 Black Mountain Road, San Diego
