The FBI is seeking the public's assistance in identifying the individual responsible for robbing the Pacific Trust Bank located at 610 Bay Boulevard in Chula Vista on Tuesday, December 2, 2008, at approximately 6:20 p.m.

The suspect is described as a white male, approximately 50 - 55 years old, 5'5" - 5'7", approximately 230 pounds with a medium to stocky build, gray salt and pepper hair, and bushy, salt and pepper eyebrows. He was wearing a dark ski mask, dark jeans, and a gray zipped hooded sweatshirt.

The suspect entered the bank carrying a 9 mm semi-automatic handgun, forced his way into vault, and stole a substantial amount of money. After taking the employees' keys, the robber left the location in one of the employee's cars. That car was a silver, four-door, 2000 Honda Accord with California license plate 4MNX084, which has still not been recovered.

It is currently not known whether this man is responsible for any other bank robberies in the area.

Anyone with information regarding this robbery, the identity of the suspect, or the location of the stolen vehicle should contact the San Diego FBI at 858-565-1255 or San Diego County Crime Stoppers anonymous tip line at 888-580-8477.
