  • Western District of Texas (210) 384-7100

United States Attorney John E. Murphy announced that 30-year-old William Michael Mattingly, of San Antonio, was sentenced to 190 months in federal prison followed by 25 years of supervised release for receipt of child pornography.

On January 24, 2011, Mattingly pleaded guilty to one count of receipt of child pornography. On October 15, 2009, FBI agents executed a search warrant at the defendant’s residence and seized five computers, four external hard drives and two thumb drives. A forensics examination of the confiscated materials revealed the presence of approximately 213 images and 14 videos depicting child pornography which Mattingly admitted to downloading from the internet.

This case was investigated by the Federal Bureau of Investigation. Assistant United States Attorney Tracy Thompson prosecuted this case on behalf of the Government.
