Officer-Involved Shooting in Browning, Montana

On the evening of March 3, 2014, there was an officer-involved shooting on the Blackfeet Indian Reservation. The shooting involved a male individual from the Blackfeet Reservation and officers from the Blackfeet Police Department. Blackfeet Police Officers were responding to reports of a man with a gun. The individual was armed during the incident and shots were exchanged. The individual was struck during the exchange and died upon arrival at the hospital.

The FBI is investigating the shooting with Glacier County Sheriff’s Office and the Montana Highway Patrol.
