Five People Sentenced for Drug Conspiracy in North Idaho

Two men and three women have been sentenced by U.S. District Judge Edward J. Lodge on federal drug conspiracy charges, the U.S. Attorney’s Office announced. All five defendants were indicted in November 2009 for conspiracy to possess with intent to distribute methamphetamine.

Brenda Barron, 46, of Coeur d’Alene, Idaho, was sentenced on May 10, 2010, to 151 months in federal prison, followed by 10 years of supervised release and 100 hours of community service. Barron pleaded guilty to the charge in February 2010.

Amber Larsen, 25, of Hayden, Idaho, was sentenced on Monday to 32 months in federal prison, followed by five years of supervised release and 100 hours of community service. The lower sentence was attributed, in part, to Larsen’s post arrest rehabilitation. Larsen pleaded guilty to the charge in January 2010. Larsen is Brenda Barron’s daughter.

Dan Napier, 46, of Coeur d’Alene, Idaho, was sentenced on Monday to 70 months in federal prison, followed by five years of supervised release. Napier pleaded guilty to the charge in March 2010.

Harold “Hank” Dillon, 41, of Coeur d’Alene, Idaho, was sentenced on Monday to 70 months in federal prison, followed by five years of supervised release. Dillon pleaded guilty to the charge in March 2010.

Paige Rathburn, 24, of Coeur d’Alene, Idaho, was sentenced on Monday to 70 months in federal prison, followed by five years of supervised release. Rathburn pleaded guilty to the charge in March 2010.

“This sentencing removes from society a criminal conspiracy which was dealing in large quantities of methamphetamine in our communities,” said U.S. Attorney Tom Moss. He praised the work of the multi-agency investigation which included the Coeur d’Alene Tribal Police Department, Coeur d’Alene Police Department, Kootenai County Sheriff’s Department, Post Falls Police Department, Idaho State Police, North Idaho Violent Crime Task Force, Federal Bureau of Investigation, and the Drug Enforcement Administration.
