Elmer Burpee Yarlott Found Guilty in U.S. Federal Court

The United States Attorney's Office announced that on January 12, 2010, in Billings, after a federal district court trial before Chief U.S. District Judge Richard F. Cebull, ELMER BURPEE YARLOTT, a 54-year-old resident of Crow Agency, was found guilty of aggravated sexual abuse. Sentencing is set for April 8, 2010. He is currently detained.

Assistant U.S. Attorney Marcia K. Hurd prosecuted the case for the United States.

YARLOTT faces possible penalties of life in prison, a $250,000 fine, and five years to life supervision.

The investigation was conducted by the Federal Bureau of Investigation.
