FRESNO, CA—Diamante Alfred, 21, of Fresno, was sentenced today by United States District Judge Lawrence J. O’Neill to five years in federal prison for sex trafficking of a minor, United States Attorney Benjamin B. Wagner announced today.

According to court documents, from December 2011 to April 12, 2012, Alfred engaged in sex trafficking a 15-year-old girl. The girl admitted to engaging in sex acts for money and giving a portion of the money to Alfred. Advertisements for her services were placed on a website, and the phone number listed was a cell phone that belonged to Alfred.

This case was the product of an investigation by the Federal Bureau of Investigation and the Fresno Police Department. Assistant United States Attorney Michael Frey prosecuted the case.
