Information Released in Clackamas County Sheriff’s Office Press Conference:

Investigators are asking anyone who sees Samantha Dodson or Kelsey McCune to call 911. Anyone with general tips about the case is asked to call (503) 723-4949 or to use the online e-mail form at http://www.clackamas.us/sheriff/forms/tip.html.

Kelsey McCune has no known address, but is known to make money doing freelance computer work. He may be carrying large duffel bags and/or backpacks with camping-type gear. They may be traveling on foot, by public transportation or hitchhiking. The sheriff’s office is concerned about Dodson’s welfare because of the record-cold temperatures in the Portland metro area this week.

The FBI and Clackamas County Sheriff’s Office would like to thank Clear Channel Outdoor and Lamar Advertising Company for their help in publicizing the photos of Samantha Dodson and Kelsey McCune. Both companies are putting Samantha’s picture on digital billboards around the region.

Statement by the family of Samantha Dodson:

Sami, your mom and dad are worried about you. Your brothers and sisters are worried about you. Your friends are worried about you. It’s cold out there, and you just can’t be out in that cold.

Please call us, or call 911, and let us know you’re safe. Please come home.

A lot of worried people are out looking for you right now. Your friends are sharing their concern and spreading the word. And the community is doing everything they can to find you.

Please call and let ALL of us know you’re okay.

The Clackamas County Sheriff’s Office is looking for an endangered 13-year-old runaway, possibly in the company of a 40-year-old male. Citizens are urged to call 911 immediately if they see her.

The endangered runaway—Samantha Dodson, age 13, of Oregon City—was last seen in the Oregon City area the night of Tuesday, December 3, 2013. She is described as a white female, 5 feet 4 inches tall, 125 lbs., with brown eyes and a slim build. Her hair was recently dyed red. Her photos are below.


Samantha Dodson may be in the company of a 40-year-old male named Kelsey McCune. He is described as a white male, age 40, 6 feet tall, 170 lbs., with a glass eye and salt-and-pepper hair. He has no known address. His photo is below.


Kelsey McCune and Samantha Dodson may be looking for places to camp.
