Agencies Investigating Suspicious Items on Incoming Plane

U.S. Customs and Border Protection, the FBI, the Transportation Security Administration, the Port of Portland, and Delta Airlines are investigating an incident involving suspicious items found on a Delta flight originating in Tokyo, Japan. The items are not explosive.

The flight arrived at Portland International Airport at about 8:00 a.m. on Tuesday, November 2, 2010.

There were 155 passengers and 10 crew members on board. U.S. Customs and Border Protection officers are processing the passengers and baggage through security. FBI agents are interviewing passengers and crew members, and they are processing the plane for possible evidence.
