FBI and Salem PD Ask for Help Identifying Bank Robber

The FBI and the Salem Police Department are asking for the public’s help in identifying a man who robbed the US Bank branch located at 3485 Commercial Street SE in Salem at approximately 4:25 p.m. on Wednesday. The man walked into the bank, approached a teller and demanded cash. He left on foot.

Witnesses describe him as:

  • White man
  • Height: 6’2”
  • Weight: 230 pounds
  • Build: Stocky
  • Hair: Dark brown, beard
  • Wearing: Glasses with black rims, baseball hat with an “S” (possibly a Seattle Mariners hat), a light-colored long-sleeved shirt, blue jeans, and white shoes

Anyone with information is asked to call the FBI in Salem at (503) 362-6601 during normal business hours, the FBI in Portland at (503) 224-4181 twenty-four hours a day or the Salem Police Department at (503) 588-6123.
