FBI Portland Tours

The Portland Division of the FBI offers tours to student groups, Scout troops, and community organizations. The tour includes a walk-through of portions of the Portland office as well as a discussion of the different kinds of investigations the FBI works in Oregon and of some of our specialty programs. In addition, the tour includes information about different career opportunities within the FBI and the educational/background requirements for those jobs.

Tours are scheduled based on available staffing during the hours of 9 a.m. – 5 p.m., Monday – Friday. Tours are approximately 45 minutes to an hour long. Requests for tours should be submitted at least one month in advance. If you are interested in a tour, please e-mail information about your group, including:

  • Name of the group;
  • Number of participants;
  • Age of participants (if under 18);
  • Requested date(s)/time(s); and
  • Contact name, phone number, and e-mail address.

Anyone 18 and over is required to submit their full legal name, date of birth, and social security number at least two weeks prior to the visit. Each adult should receive a copy of the federal Privacy Act notice before sending in that information.

Note: All visitors must leave cell phones, cameras, and other digital equipment with the receptionist prior to entering FBI space. We recommend that you leave such devices secured in your car prior to arriving.

Information may be submitted to the Public Affairs Office.
