Johnstown Man Sentenced to 70 Months in Prison for Crack Cocaine Distribution Scheme

JOHNSTOWN, PA—A resident of Johnstown, Pennsylvania has been sentenced in federal court to 70 months in prison and five years’ supervised release on his conviction of conspiracy to distribute cocaine base, commonly known as “crack,” United States Attorney David J. Hickton announced today.
United States District Judge Kim R. Gibson imposed the sentence on Randy L. Andrews, 33.
According to information presented to the court, from Jan. 16 to Feb. 18, 2009, Andrews conspired to distribute and possess with the intent to distribute five grams or more of cocaine base.
Assistant United States Attorney John J. Valkovci, Jr., prosecuted this case on behalf of the government.
U.S. Attorney Hickton commended the Laurel Highlands Resident Agency of the Federal Bureau of Investigation, the Johnstown Police Department, and the Cambria County Drug Task Force for the investigation leading to the successful prosecution of Andrews.
