Federal Inmate Sentenced to Additional 18 Months in Prison for Possessing Contraband

JOHNSTOWN, PA—An inmate at the Federal Correctional Institution at Loretto, Pennsylvania has been sentenced in federal court to 18 months in prison, consecutive to the prison term he is currently serving, and three years’ supervised release on his conviction of conspiracy and possession of contraband in prison, United States Attorney David J. Hickton announced today.
United States District Judge Kim R. Gibson imposed the sentence on Jesse W. Osborne, 28.
According to information presented to the court, from September to December 2009 Osborne and two co-defendants conspired to arrange for Suboxone, a narcotic controlled substance, to be delivered and introduced into the Federal Correctional Institution at Loretto, Pa., and on Dec. 6, 2009, Osborne was found to be in possession of Suboxone.
Assistant United States Attorney John J. Valkovci, Jr., prosecuted this case on behalf of the government.
U.S. Attorney Hickton commended the Laurel Highlands Resident Agency of the Federal Bureau of Investigation and the Special Investigative Staff at the Federal Correctional Institution at Loretto for the investigation leading to the successful prosecution of Osborne.
