Plum Man Charged with Possession of Child Pornography

PITTSBURGH—A resident of Plum Borough, Pennsylvania has been indicted by a federal grand jury in Pittsburgh for violating federal child sexual exploitation laws, United States Attorney David J. Hickton announced today.
The one-count indictment, returned on Nov. 16, 2010, and unsealed on Dec. 1, 20201, names Antonio Pampena, 27, as the sole defendant.
According to the indictment, from December 2009, to April 29, 2010, Pampena possessed and accessed with intent to view visual depictions of minors engaged in sexually explicit conduct.
The law provides for a maximum total sentence of up to 10 years in prison, a fine of $250,000, or both. Under the Federal Sentencing Guidelines, the actual sentence imposed would be based upon the seriousness of the offense and the prior criminal history, if any, of the defendant.
Assistant United States Attorney Craig W. Haller is prosecuting this case on behalf of the United States.
The Pennsylvania State Police, the Plum Police Department and the Federal Bureau of Investigation conducted the investigation leading to the indictment in this case.
An indictment is an accusation. A defendant is presumed innocent unless and until proven guilty.
