Uniontown Man Pleads Guilty to Distributing Cocaine

PITTSBURGH—A resident of Uniontown, Pennsylvania, pled guilty in federal court to charges of violating federal drug laws, United States Attorney David J. Hickton announced today.
Jeffrey Harris, a/k/a Squeak, 38, pled guilty to two counts before United States District Judge Donetta W. Ambrose.
In connection with the guilty plea, the court was advised that on Jan. 23, 2007, and March 21, 2007, Harris distributed less than 500 grams of cocaine.
Judge Ambrose scheduled sentencing for Feb. 10, 2011, at 11:30 a.m. The law provides for a total sentence of 40 years in prison, a fine of $2,000,000 or both. Under the Federal Sentencing Guidelines, the actual sentence imposed is based upon the seriousness of the offenses and the criminal history, if any, of the defendant.
Pending sentencing, the court continued Harris on bond.
Assistant United States Attorney Michael L. Ivory is prosecuting this case on behalf of the government.
The Federal Bureau of Investigation, the Pennsylvania State Police, and officers from the Washington County Drug Task Force conducted the investigation that led to the prosecution of Harris.
