Judge Sentences Johnstown Man to Prison for Distributing Crack

JOHNSTOWN, PA—A resident of Johnstown, Pa., has been sentenced in federal court to 20 months in prison and five years’ supervised release on his conviction of distributing cocaine base, commonly known as "crack," United States Attorney David J. Hickton announced today.
United States District Judge Kim R. Gibson imposed the sentence on Ravon C. Irving, 22.
According to information presented to the court, Irving distributed five grams or more of cocaine base on Dec. 4, 2008.
Assistant United States Attorney John J. Valkovci, Jr., prosecuted this case on behalf of the government.
U.S. Attorney Hickton commended the Federal Bureau of Investigation/Laurel Highlands Resident Agency, the Cambria County Drug Task Force, and the Johnstown Police Department for the investigation leading to the successful prosecution of Irving.
