Judge Sentences Johnstown Crack Dealer to 10 Years in Prison

Acting United States Attorney Robert S. Cessar announced today, July 1, 2010, that James D. Bush, a resident of Johnstown, Pennsylvania, has been sentenced in federal court in Johnstown to 120 months in prison and five years supervised release on his conviction of violating federal narcotics laws.
United States District Judge Kim R. Gibson imposed the sentence on Bush, age 37.
According to information presented to the court by Assistant United States Attorney John J. Valkovci, Jr., from April 27, to May 11, 2009, Bush conspired to distribute and possess with the intent to distribute five grams or more of cocaine base, commonly known as “crack,” and on May 11, 2009, Bush distributed five grams or more of crack.
Mr. Cessar commended the Federal Bureau of Investigation/Laurel Highlands Resident Agency and the Cambria County Drug Task Force for the investigation leading to the successful prosecution of Bush.
