  • Western District of Pennsylvania

Acting United States Attorney Robert S. Cessar announced today, June 8, 2010, that Hope Elizabeth Harris, a resident of Johnstown, Pennsylvania, has been sentenced in federal court in Johnstown to twelve months plus one day imprisonment, to be followed by three years supervised release, on her conviction of violating federal narcotics laws.

United States District Judge Kim R. Gibson imposed the sentence on Harris, age 26.

According to information presented to the court by Assistant United States Attorney Stephanie L. Haines, on January 28 and February 11, 2008, Harris distributed less than five grams of cocaine base, commonly known as “crack.”

Mr. Cessar commended the Federal Bureau of Investigation, Laurel Highlands Resident Agency, the Johnstown Police Department, and the Cambria County Drug Task Force for the investigation leading to the successful prosecution of Harris.
