Michigan Man Sentenced to 12 Years in Prison for Drug Conspiracy

Acting United States Attorney Robert S. Cessar announced today, May 13, 2010, that on May 12, 2010, Lazono Fernando Deamues, a/k/a Polo, a resident of Detroit, Michigan, was sentenced in federal court in Pittsburgh to 150 months in prison followed by five years of supervised release on his conviction of violating federal narcotics law.
United States District Judge Nora Barry Fischer imposed the sentence on Deamues, age 36.
According to information presented to the court by Assistant United States Attorney Amy L. Johnston, Deamues conspired with others to distribute and possessed with the intent to distribute 50 grams or more of crack cocaine.
Mr. Cessar commended the Federal Bureau of Investigation, the Pennsylvania State Police, the Sharon Police Department and the Internal Revenue Service – Criminal Investigationfor the investigation leading to the successful prosecution of Deamues.
