Inmate Sentenced on Possession Charge

CLARKSBURG, WV—A federal inmate entered a plea of guilty and was sentenced on April 29, 2010, in United States District Court in Clarksburg by Judge Irene M. Keeley.

United States Attorney Betsy C. Jividen announced that CLAYTON CAWOOD, age 38, a federal inmate at USP Hazelton, entered a plea of guilty to one count of possession of a prohibited object (two shanks) on September 15, 2009. Judge Keeley sentenced CAWOOD to 6 months’ imprisonment to run consecutive to the sentence he is currently serving.

The case was investigated by the Federal Bureau of Investigation and the Special Investigative Services at FCI Hazelton. The case was prosecuted by Assistant United States Attorneys David E. Godwin and Sherry L. Muncy.
