Federal Inmate Sentenced for Possession of Marijuana

CLARKSBURG, WV—A 27-year-old federal inmate was sentenced on January 12, 2010, in United States District Court in Clarksburg by Judge Irene M. Keeley.

Acting United States Attorney Betsy C. Jividen announced that TERRON BARNES, an inmate at USP Hazelton, entered a plea of guilty to one count of an Indictment charging him with possession of marijuana on October 4, 2009, at USP Hazelton, and was sentenced to six months' imprisonment.

The case was prosecuted by Assistant United States Attorney David E. Godwin. The case was investigated by the Federal Bureau of Investigation.
