Donora Man Sentenced to Prison for Distributing Cocaine

Acting United States Attorney Robert S. Cessar announced today, January 7, 2010, that Brandon E. Thomas, a resident of Donora, Pennsylvania, has been sentenced in federal court in Pittsburgh to 30 months’ imprisonment on his conviction of violating federal drug laws.

United States District Judge David S. Cercone imposed the sentence on Thomas, age 29.

According to information presented to the court by Assistant United States Attorney Michael L. Ivory, that on April 10, 2007, Thomas distributed and possessed with intent to distribute less than 500 grams of cocaine.

Mr. Cessar commended the Federal Bureau of Investigation, the Pennsylvania State Police, and law enforcement officers from the Washington County Drug Task Force for the investigation leading to the successful prosecution of Brandon E. Thomas.
