Robbery of Wells Fargo Bank Branch in North Philadelphia Today

The Philadelphia Police Department and the FBI are seeking the public’s assistance to identify and locate the subject responsible for the robbery today, October 9, of the Wells Fargo Bank branch located at 2843 North Broad Street in North Philadelphia.

At approximately 10:45 a.m., the subject entered the bank and handed a teller a demand note. After obtaining an undisclosed amount of cash, the subject fled the area of the bank on foot and was last seen heading toward South Broad Street.

The subject is described as a black male in his late 20s to early 30s, approximately 5’8” tall, with a stocky build and facial hair. He wore a gray hooded sweatshirt with the words “PEIRCE ALUMNI” on the chest, camouflage pants, a black knit cap, and Nike sneakers.

This subject is believed also responsible for the October 3, 2014 robbery of the PNC Bank branch located at 1801 Market Street in Center City.

This subject is considered armed and dangerous. Anyone with information about these robberies or this subject is urged to call the FBI at 215-418-4000 or the Philadelphia Police Department. There may be a reward for information leading to this subject’s capture; tipsters can remain anonymous.
