Robbery of TD Bank Branch in Philadelphia

FBI Philadelphia February 10, 2014

The Philadelphia Police Department and the FBI are seeking the public’s assistance to identify and locate the subject responsible for the robbery on February, 10, 2014, of the TD Bank branch located at 6635 Frankford Avenue in the Mayfair section of the city.

At approximately 11:15 a.m., the subject entered the bank, displayed a paper bag that he claimed contained an explosive device, and demanded money. After obtaining an undisclosed amount of cash, the subject fled the area of the bank on foot. No explosive device was found in the paper bag that he left behind.

The subject is described as a black male in his late 30s to early 40s, approximately 6’2” tall and 230-250 pounds, with a dark complexion with a full beard. He wore a blue hooded sweatshirt, black vest, and dark-colored winter cap.

This subject is considered armed and dangerous. Anyone with information about this robbery or this subject is urged to call the FBI at 215-418-4000 or the Philadelphia Police Department. There may be a reward for information leading to this subject’s capture; tipsters can remain anonymous.
