Robbery of PNC Bank Branch in Philadelphia

FBI Philadelphia February 21, 2014

The Philadelphia Police Department and the FBI are seeking the public’s assistance to identify and locate the subject responsible for the robbery on February 21, 2014, of the PNC Bank branch located at 2401 Welsh Road in Northeast Philadelphia.

At approximately 1:21 p.m., the subject entered the bank and handed a teller a threatening demand note. After obtaining an undisclosed amount of cash, the subject fled the area of the bank on foot. He was last seen heading northeast on Bluegrass Road.

The subject is described as a white male, approximately 50 years old, and 5’10” tall with a thin build. He wore a gray sweatshirt, blue pants, dark-colored knit cap, and sunglasses.

This subject is considered armed and dangerous. Anyone with information about this robbery or this subject is urged to call the FBI at 215-418-4000 or the Philadelphia Police Department. There may be a reward for information leading to this subject’s capture; tipsters can remain anonymous.
