Jeffrey Stephen Horn, 43, of Phoenixville, Pennsylvania, is charged by information, filed today, with distribution of child pornography, announced United States Attorney Zane David Memeger. The indictment charges Russell with one count of distributing child pornography between June 13 and June 17, 2012.

If convicted the defendant faces a maximum possible sentence of 20 years’ imprisonment.

The case was investigated by the Federal Bureau of Investigation (including members of the FBI Child Exploitation Task Force) and the New Britain Township Police Department and is being prosecuted by Assistant United States Attorney Albert S. Glenn.

This case was brought as part of Project Safe Childhood, a nationwide initiative to combat the growing epidemic of child sexual exploitation and abuse launched in May 2006 by the Department of Justice. Led by United States Attorneys' Offices and the Criminal Division’s Child Exploitation and Obscenity Section (CEOS), Project Safe Childhood marshals federal, state, and local resources to better locate, apprehend, and prosecute individuals who exploit children via the Internet, as well as to identify and rescue victims.
