Robbery of Republic Bank Branch in Philadelphia

FBI Philadelphia February 19, 2013

The Philadelphia Police Department and the FBI are seeking the public’s assistance to identify and locate the subject responsible for the February 19, 2013 robbery of the Republic Bank branch located at 1818 Market Street in Center City West.

At approximately 9:35 a.m., the subject entered the bank and handed a teller a demand note that said he had a weapon. After obtaining an undisclosed amount of cash, the subject fled the area of the bank on foot and was last seen heading east on Market Street.

The subject is described as a black male in his late 30s, approximately 5’11”-6’0” tall, slim build, with a goatee. He may have a gap between his front teeth. The subject wore a brown coat with a dark-colored hooded sweatshirt underneath, dark-colored pants, and shoes, sunglasses, and a black knit hat.

This subject is considered armed and dangerous. Anyone with information about this robbery or this subject is urged to call the FBI at 215-418-4000 or the Philadelphia Police Department. There may be a reward for information leading to this subject’s capture; tipsters can remain anonymous.
