Robbery of Republic Bank Branch in Philadelphia

FBI Philadelphia February 11, 2013

The Philadelphia Police Department and the FBI are seeking the public’s assistance to identify and locate the subject responsible for the robbery on February 11, 2013, of the Republic Bank branch located at 1818 Market Street in Center City West.

At approximately 2:42 p.m., the subject entered the bank and passed a demand note to a teller. After obtaining an undisclosed amount of cash, the subject fled the area of the bank.

The subject is described as a black male in his mid- to late 50s, approximately 6’0” tall, medium build, with a medium complexion and full “salt and pepper” beard. He wore a black baseball hat with a purple brim and unknown logo, a black coat, and brown-framed eyeglasses. He may have stains on his skin and/or clothing.

This subject is considered armed and dangerous. Anyone with information about this robbery or this subject is urged to call the FBI at 215-418-4000 or the Philadelphia Police Department. There may be a reward for information leading to this subject’s capture.
