Attempted Robbery of PNC Bank Branch in Philadelphia

The Philadelphia Police Department and the FBI are seeking the public’s assistance to identify and locate the subject responsible for the attempted robbery Saturday of the PNC Bank branch located at 3244 North Broad Street in North Philadelphia.

At approximately 2:43 p.m., the subject entered the bank and handed a teller a demand note. The subject eventually fled the area of the bank empty-handed and was last seen heading south on Broad Street on foot.

The subject is described as a black male in his late 30s to early 40s, approximately 6’2” tall, slim build, with a beard; he wore a black hat and dark-colored jacket.

This subject is considered armed and dangerous. Anyone with information about this attempted robbery or this subject is urged to call the FBI at 215-418-4000 or the Philadelphia Police Department. There may be a reward for information leading to this subject’s capture; tipsters can remain anonymous.
