Plymouth Meeting Man Charged with Child Pornography Offenses

Robert Franz, 65, of Plymouth Meeting, Pennsylvania, was charged today by indictment with the receipt and possession of child pornography, announced United States Attorney Zane David Memeger.

If convicted the defendant faces a maximum possible sentence of 30 years’ imprisonment, with a mandatory minimum of five years’ imprisonment, a $500,000 fine, a mandatory minimum of five years up to a lifetime supervised release, and a $200 special assessment.

The case was investigated by Special Agent Rebecca Quinn of the Federal Bureau of Investigation and is being prosecuted by Assistant United States Attorney Alicia M. Freind.
