Two Philadelphia Residents Indicted on Armed Robbery Charges

Kareem Watson and Aaron Smith were charged in a three-count indictment* with one count of conspiracy to commit robbery, which interfered with interstate commerce, robbery which interfered with interstate commerce, and carrying and using a firearm during and in relation to a crime of violence, and aiding and abetting announced United States Attorney Zane David Memeger.

If convicted, the defendants face a maximum sentence of life imprisonment, including a mandatory minimum sentence of 84 months’ imprisonment, five years’ supervised release, a $750,000 fine, and a $300 special assessment.

This case was investigated by the Federal Bureau of Investigation and is being prosecuted by Assistant United States Attorneys Salvatore L. Astolfi.
