Alleged Bank Robber Charged

William Caserta was charged today by information with three counts of bank robbery, announced United States Attorney Zane David Memeger. Caserta is charged with robbing the Citizens Bank located at 2497 Aramingo Avenue, Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, on December 14, 2010; the Citizens Bank located at 11000 Roosevelt Boulevard, Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, on December 16, 2010; and the Citizens Bank located at 6601 Roosevelt Boulevard, Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, on December 18, 2010.

If convicted, the defendant faces a maximum possible sentence of 60 years’ imprisonment, followed by three years’ supervised release and a fine of $750,000.

The case was investigated by the Federal Bureau of Investigation and the Philadelphia Police Department and is being prosecuted by Assistant United States Attorney Emily McKillip.
