Former New Jersey Police Officer Indicted for Bank Robbery

The United States Attorney’s Office for the Middle District of Pennsylvania announced today that a former New Jersey Police Officer has been indicted by a federal grand jury for bank robbery.
According to United States Attorney Peter J. Smith, Carl Holliday, age 33, of Vineland, New Jersey, is accused of committing a bank robbery at the PNC Bank in White Haven, Luzerne County, on November 18, 2010. Holliday was formerly employed as a police officer in Bridgeton, New Jersey, in 2006.
If convicted, Holliday faces a maximum penalty of 20 years in prison, followed by a three-year term of supervised release and a $250,000 fine.
The investigation was conducted by the Federal Bureau of Investigation, the White Haven Police Department, and the Pennsylvania State Police. Prosecution has been assigned to Assistant United States Attorney Robert J. O’Hara.
