Tri-State Serial Bank Robber Sought by the FBI

FBI Philadelphia October 20, 2010

The FBI’s Philadelphia and Baltimore Divisions are seeking the public’s assistance to identify and locate the subject believed to be responsible for at least five bank robberies and attempted robberies since last month in Maryland, Pennsylvania, and New Jersey. The robberies include the following:

  1. 09/16/2010 – Bank of America, 11301 York Road, Cockeysville, MD 21030
  2. 09/17/2010 – M and T Bank, 212 Mt. Carmel Road, Parkton, MD 21120
  3. 09/20/2010 – Susquehanna Bank, 16576 Susquehanna Trail South, (New Freedom) Shrewsbury Township, PA
  4. 10/11/2010 – The Bank, 22 Center Square Road, Swedesboro, NJ 08085
  5. 10/12/2010 – Fulton Bank, 611 Shrewsbury Commons, Shrewsbury, PA 17361

 

Two of the incidents, the 9/16/10, attempted robbery of the Bank of America branch in Maryland and the 10/11/10, attempted robbery of The Bank branch in New Jersey, involved threatening demand notes. The other three incidents, in which undisclosed amounts of cash were taken, involved the display of a handgun by the subject during the robberies.

The subject is described as a black male in his mid 30’s, 5’1” to 5’5” tall, thin build, with a mustache. The subject appears to walk with a limp and has been described as being “bow legged.”  He has worn baseball caps, sunglasses, long-sleeved shirts or sweatshirts, and gloves during the robberies.

This subject is considered armed and dangerous. Anyone with information is asked to call the FBI in Philadelphia at 215-418-4000, the FBI in Baltimore at 410-265-8080, or their local police department. There may be a reward for information leading to this subject’s capture, and tipsters can remain anonymous.
