Attempted Robbery of a Citizens Bank Branch

The FBI and the Philadelphia Police Department are seeking the public’s assistance to identify and locate the subject responsible for the attempted robbery of the Citizens Bank branch located at 1501 North Broad Street earlier today.

The subject entered the branch, which is located at the Progress Plaza, at approximately 12:45 p.m. and presented a threatening demand note to a teller. The subject fled the branch, however, without receiving any cash. There were no injuries.

The subject is described as a Hispanic male in his mid 30’s, 5’5” tall, medium build, with short dark hair, clean shaven, wearing a black hooded pull-over sweatshirt with a logo on the left chest.

A picture from the bank’s security cameras is below. Anyone with information is asked to call the FBI at 215-418-4000 or the Philadelphia Police Department.
