Lansdale Woman Charged with Abusing Her Non-Profit Position for Personal Use

A one-count information1 was filed today charging defendant Patricia Brown with wire fraud, announced United States Attorney Zane David Memeger. The information alleges that Brown, the administrator for the Pennsylvania Society for Information Managers, abused her position with this non-profit organization to write herself checks for monies to which she was not entitled. To conceal this embezzlement, Brown created false financial statements that failed to reflect the money she had stolen.
