Serial Bank Robber Identified

FBI Philadelphia August 14, 2010

The FBI and the Philadelphia Police Department are seeking the public’s assistance to locate Joseph DiFalco. DiFalco has been charged in Philadelphia with the robbery of the Wachovia Bank branch at 2227 South Broad Street on July 23, 2009. DiFalco is also the suspect believed to be responsible for the 7/26/10, robbery of the Citizens Bank branch at 10650 Bustleton Avenue, the 8/2/10, robbery of the Conestoga Bank branch at 2444 South Broad Street, and today’s robbery of the CitiBank branch located at 2118 Cottman Avenue.

DiFalco is 31 years of age, has a thin beard and closely cropped hair, and tattoos on his outer forearms. Although he has no known fixed address at this time, he is originally from South Philadelphia and may be staying in the Northeast Philadelphia area.

DiFalco should be considered armed and dangerous. Anyone with information is asked to call the FBI at 215-418-4000 or the Philadelphia Police Department.

A previous mug shot of DiFalco is below, along with surveillance photographs from two recent robberies.
