Seeking Wanted Bank Robbery Fugitive Anthony Wayne Ransom

FBI Philadelphia August 13, 2010

The FBI, the United States Marshals Service, and the Philadelphia Police Department are seeking the public’s assistance to locate Anthony Wayne Ransom. Ransom, 44 years old, approximately 6’3” tall, 250 pounds, has been charged in the Eastern District of Pennsylvania with the robbery of the Citizens Bank branch located at 2516 Welsh Road in Philadelphia on July 12, 2010. Ransom entered the branch, presented a threatening demand note to a teller, and fled with an undisclosed amount of cash.

Ransom is also being sought for escaping from the custody of a federal halfway house in Philadelphia on June 26, 2010. Ransom left the halfway house on that day to go to work and never returned to the halfway house or to his place of employment in Willow Grove, Pennsylvania.

Ransom may be frequenting the Jenkintown and Abington, Pennsylvania areas, and has, in the past, worn a thick beard.

Below is a recent photograph of Ransom, taken during the robbery of the Citizens Bank branch.
