Philadelphia Man Charged with Robbing Wachovia National Bank

Tyrone Bentley was charged in a criminal indictment1 with conspiracy, armed bank robbery, and carrying and using a firearm during and in relation to a crime of violence, announced United States Attorney Zane David Memenger. The indictment charges that on June 3, 2010, Bentley and an unidentified person robbed the Wachovia National Bank, located at 3625 Horizon Boulevard in Feasterville Trevose, Pennsylvania and stole approximately $38,000 in cash.

If convicted, the defendant faces a total maximum sentence of lifetime imprisonment, a seven year mandatory minimum term of imprisonment, five years’ supervised release, a $750,000 fine, and a $300 special assessment.

This case was investigated by the Federal Bureau of Investigation and is being prosecuted by Assistant United States Attorneys Salvatore L. Astolfi.
