Robbery of PNC Bank Branch in Abington Township

FBI Philadelphia July 19, 2010

The FBI and the Abington Police Department are seeking the public’s assistance to identify and locate the subject responsible for the robbery of the PNC Bank branch located at 123 Old York Road in Abington Township earlier today.

At approximately 1:28 p.m., the subject entered the branch and presented a threatening demand note to a teller. After obtaining an undisclosed amount of cash, the subject fled the area of the bank on foot and was last seen headed southbound on Old York Road.

The subject is described as a black male, 6’3” tall, 300 pounds, with very close cropped hair, wearing a white t-shirt and black sunglasses.

This subject is considered armed and dangerous. Anyone with information is asked to call the FBI at 215-418-4000 or the Abington Police Department at 215-884-2700. There may be a reward for information leading to this subject’s capture, and tipsters can remain anonymous.
