Philadelphia Man Indicted for Three Armed Robberies

Jesse Allen was charged today by Indictment with three counts of robbery which interferes with interstate commerce and three counts of brandishing a firearm during a crime of violence, announced United States Attorney Zane David Memeger. These charges stem from Allen’s involvement in three separate gunpoint robberies of grocery/convenience stores; one on July 20, 2009, and two on August 13, 2009.

AGE OR YEAR OF BIRTH: 24 years old
If convicted, the defendant faces a maximum possible sentence of life imprisonment, with a mandatory minimum 57-year sentence consecutive to all other sentences, a $1,500,000 fine, five years’ supervised release, and a $600 special assessment.
The case was investigated by the Federal Bureau of Investigation and the Philadelphia Police Department and is being prosecuted by Assistant United States Attorney Jeffery W. Whitt.
