Armed Takeover Robbery of the First Savings Bank in Milford Township

FBI Philadelphia June 05, 2010

The FBI and the Pennsylvania State Police’s Dublin Barracks are seeking the public’s assistance to identify and locate the subjects responsible for the armed robbery of the First Savings Bank located at 400 Commerce Boulevard, Milford Square, Pennsylvania this morning.

At approximately 7:50 a.m., as the first employee arrived to open the bank for the day’s business, she was accosted at the back door of the bank by two armed males who jumped out of the bushes and forced her inside and onto the floor at gun point. Shortly thereafter, a second employee arrived, entered the back door of the bank, and was also forced to the ground at gun point.

The subjects demanded entry to the bank’s vault, but the two employees were unable to open the vault. A third employee then arrived at the bank, entered through the back door, and was forced to the ground. The employees were then able to open the vault, and the robbers ordered the three employees into the vault where they were again forced to the floor and each was handcuffed with black metal handcuffs. After obtaining a significant amount of cash from the vault and from the teller drawers, which they placed into a large black duffle bag they had brought with them, the two male subjects fled the bank in an unknown direction.

During the robbery, the two males inside the bank talked on small walkie-talkie radios with a third subject, possibly a female, who was somewhere close outside of the bank. The two males were inside the bank for approximately 30 minutes.

The two subjects are described as black males, both wearing dark hooded sweatshirts with the hoods pulled up, ski masks, and gloves, and both carrying small walkie talkie radios. One had a dark-colored semi-automatic pistol and the other had a silver semi-automatic pistol. One was 5’8” to 5’9” tall with a medium to heavy build wearing camouflage cargo pants and brown boots, the second was taller and thinner than the first and was wearing blue jeans and black shoes.

These subjects are considered armed and dangerous, and anyone with information is asked to call the FBI at 215-418-4000, or the Pennsylvania State Police. There may be a reward for information leading to their capture, and tipsters can remain anonymous.

Four pictures are below, showing the subjects inside the bank’s vault during the robbery.
