Bridgeport Man Charged with Sending Threatening E-Mails to FBI Offices

Michael Moore was charged today in a one-count Indictment alleging that during the period of March 27 through April 1, 2010, he sent numerous threatening e-mails to many FBI offices throughout the world, threatening to kill people in the United States of America, announced United States Attorney Michael L. Levy.

If convicted the defendant faces a maximum possible sentence of five years’ imprisonment, three years’ supervised release, and a $250,000 fine.

The case was investigated by agents from the Department of Homeland Security Federal Protective Services and the Federal Bureau of Investigation, and is being prosecuted by Assistant United States Attorney Arlene Fisk.
