Armed Robbery of the TruMark Financial Branch in Jenkintown

FBI Philadelphia January 21, 2010

The FBI and the Jenkintown Police Department are seeking the public’s assistance to identify and locate the two subjects responsible for the armed robbery of the TruMark Financial branch located at 515 Old York Road in Jenkintown yesterday, January 20, 2010.

At approximately 12:28 p.m., two subjects entered the bank and one immediately vaulted over the teller counter and removed cash from two teller drawers while the other, armed with a handgun, gave commands to the employees to be quiet. The subjects fled the bank, and they dropped the money taken when a dye pack exploded.

The first subject is described as a black male, approximately 6’3”, wearing a brown coat, white t-shirt, blue jeans, and light brown construction boots. He held a black handgun that looked like a revolver. The second subject, who vaulted the counter, is described as a black male, approximately 5’10”, with a black beard and mustache, wearing a black jacket over a grey hooded sweatshirt with dark pants and black Adidas shoes. Either or both of the subjects could have stains on their hands or clothing.

Two photographs that were taken from a neighboring business’s security camera as the subjects fled the bank are below.

These subjects are considered armed and dangerous. Anyone with information is asked to call the FBI at 215-418-4000 or the Jenkintown Police Department. There may be a reward for information leading to their identification and apprehension, and tipsters can remain anonymous.
