Philadelphia Serial Bank Robber Indicted

A four-count indictment was filed today charging Jeffrey Edward Chapin in the robberies of four TD banks located in Bucks and Montgomery Counties, announced United States Attorney Michael L. Levy. The robberies occurred between August 10, 2009, and September 14, 2009.

INFORMATION REGARDING THE DEFENDANT

  • AGE OR DATE OF BIRTH: 1976

If convicted of all charges, the defendant faces a total maximum sentence of 80 years’ imprisonment, three years’ supervised release, a $1,000,000 fine, and a $400 special assessment.

This case was investigated by the Federal Bureau of Investigation and several suburban police departments. It is being prosecuted by Assistant United States Attorney Salvatore L. Astolfi.
