Seeking Information on Serial Bank Robber

The FBI and the Philadelphia Police Department are seeking the public’s assistance to identify and locate the subject responsible for the robbery of the PNC Bank located at 6705 Rising Sun Avenue yesterday at approximately 12:30 p.m., and the robbery of the Bank of America branch located at 6425 Rising Sun Avenue at approximately 1:45 p.m. today.
In both robberies, the unidentified male entered the branches and presented threatening demand notes to tellers. After receiving undisclosed amounts of cash in each robbery, the male fled on foot in an unknown direction. The subject is described as a black male in his mid to late 40’s, 6’1” to 6’2” tall, medium build, with a salt-and-pepper trimmed beard, wearing a white baseball cap, a dark-colored or brown waist-length jacket, tan pants, and brown boots. In yesterday’s robbery, he was also carrying a black backpack over his shoulder.

This subject is considered armed and dangerous, and anyone with information is asked to call the FBI at 215-418-4000 or the Philadelphia Police Department. There may be a reward for information leading to the identification and apprehension of this subject. Tipsters can remain anonymous.
