Two Charged with Attempting to Commit an Armed Robbery of a Drug Dealer

United States Attorney Michael L. Levy today announced the filing of an Indictment against Thomas Jackson and Leonard Guess, charged them with one count of Hobbs Act robbery, and one count of using a firearm during and in relation to a crime of violence. The indictment also charges Jackson with one count of felon in possession of a firearm. These offenses arise from the defendants’ conspiracy and attempt to commit an armed robbery of a drug dealer.

If convicted on all counts, Thomas Jackson faces a maximum possible sentence of life years imprisonment, a mandatory minimum term of five years’ imprisonment, a three-year term of supervised release and a $750,000 fine.
If convicted on all counts, Leonard Guess faces a maximum possible sentence of life imprisonment, a mandatory minimum term of five years’ imprisonment, a three-year term of supervised release and a $500,000 fine.
The case was investigated by the FBI and the Bucks County Violent Gang Task Force (BCVGTF) and is being prosecuted by Assistant United States Attorney Joel D. Goldstein.
