Robbery of the TD Bank

The FBI and the Philadelphia Police Department are seeking the public’s assistance to identify and locate the subject responsible for the robbery of the TD Bank located at 2520 Grant Avenue, Philadelphia, PA at approximately 11:00 a.m. today.

The unidentified subject entered the branch at approximately 11:00 a.m. and verbally demanded money. The subject fled the bank after obtaining an undisclosed amount of cash. A dye pack was given out so there may be red dye on the subject’s hands or clothing. The subject fled E/B on Grant Avenue. There were no injuries.

The subject is described as a black male, 40 years old, tall, beard with gray in it, tan shirt, black hat with blue “V” symbol on it, a black jacket and tan boots.

This subject is also believed to be responsible for a second bank robbery at the TD Bank branch located at 2900 Moreland Road, Abington Township, PA. This robbery occurred today at 11:45 a.m., approximately 45 minutes after the robbery of the TD Bank branch at 2520 Grant Avenue, Philadelphia, PA.

This subject is considered armed and dangerous. Anyone with information is asked to call the FBI at 215-418-4000 or the Philadelphia Police Department. There may be a reward available for information that leads to the arrest and conviction of this subject. Tipsters can remain anonymous.
