Three Philadelphia Residents Charged with Conspiring to Steal Debit and Credit Card Numbers

U.S. Attorney’s Office August 13, 2009
  • Eastern District of Pennsylvania (215) 861-8200

United States Attorney Michael L. Levy today announced the filing of an indictment against Abdul Cunningham, a/k/a “James Walker,” a/k/a “Duley,” Jacqueline V. Young, and Tommy Nguyen, charging that from January 2008, to May 2009, they conspired to steal people’s credit and debit card numbers and then used them to buy merchandise, gift cards, and other things of value. The indictment charges that, together, these defendants stole between 200 and 500 credit card numbers from customers of the restaurants where Young and Nguyen worked; Cunningham used equipment to encode the stolen numbers onto other credit, debit, and white plastic cards in the defendants’ possession; and the defendants then shopped at retail stores and restaurants in Philadelphia and elsewhere.
